We have been awarded the NFRF-E Grant!

The project titled “A Breathable Future: Engineering Sustainable Biomass-Derived CO₂ Capture Technologies Informed by Social Science Insights, Environmental Assessments, and Economic Analysis” led by Dr. Kiana Amini has received funding from the New Frontiers in Research Funding Exploration stream. The project is collaboration with Co-PIs and Collaborators: Profs.Karthik Akkiraju (Materials Engineering); Andrew Jorgenson (Sociology); Kwang Ho Kim (Wood Science) and Qingshi Tu (Wood Science). Kiana is honored to be named as a Canada Research Chair Tier II in Electrochemical Systems for Energy Storage and Carbon Capture!

Materials Engineering Assistant Professor Dr. Kiana Amini was named a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Electrochemical Systems for Energy Storage and Carbon Capture.
